چکیده
Chemical insecticides have hazardous effects on human health and the ecosystem hence there is a dire need of hour to use nonchemical eco-friendly tactics for management major insect pests. While traps other attract-and-kill devices in pest strategies reduce fruit fly (Tephritidae) populations has proved be efficient, therefore current study was designed evaluate different lure combinations monitoring (Bactrocera spp) peach orchard at Agriculture Research Institute Swat. Among tested traps, cylindrical bottle trapped highest number flies/trap (155 flies/trap/week), followed by Fruition NOVA® trap (34 flies/trap/week) Yellow sticky (12 flies/trap/week). Similarly, lures sequence Methyl eugenol (134 flies/trap/week)> + Cue (95 (26 flies/trap/lure)> (14 while among combination Cylindrical impregnated with flies (321 lowest (10 Moreover, species during 18 weeks B. zonata found most abundant (80 invadense (45 dorsalis (7 cucurbitae (1 fly/trap/week) tau trapping population remained mid-season (July, 2021) it onset (June, end season (September, 2021).

McPhail traps loaded with various attractant solutions (ammonium sulphate, Entomela 75%, Entomela 50%, Dacus bait 100, sexual pheromone of olive fruit fly Bactrocera oleae) combined also with registered plant protection products (lambda-cyhalothrin, alpha-cypermethrin as well as dimethoate) were tested for their attractiveness which was indicated as captures of flies in McPhail traps during thr...
متن کاملEvaluation of traps and lures for mass trapping of Mediterranean fruit fly in citrus groves.
Mass trapping has proven to be a powerful weapon in the control of Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann), and its application in Mediterranean countries has currently increased notably as a control method. In this study, the efficacy of newly developed traps and dispensers of attractants were assessed with the aim of finding the best trap and set the lifetime of the dispensers, thus improving the tota...
متن کاملMolecular Phylogeny and Identification of the Peach Fruit Fly, Bactrocera zonata, Established in Egypt
The genetic structure of the Egyptian peach fruit fly (Bactrocera zonata (Saunders) (Diptera: Tephritidae)) population was analyzed using total RNA from adult females. A portion of mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I (COI), 369 bp was amplified using RT-PCR, and was sequenced and analyzed to clarify the phylogenetic relationship of B. zonata established in Egypt. The data suggested that the gene...
متن کاملdevelopment of different optical methods for determination of glucose using cadmium telluride quantum dots and silver nanoparticles
a simple, rapid and low-cost scanner spectroscopy method for the glucose determination by utilizing glucose oxidase and cdte/tga quantum dots as chromoionophore has been described. the detection was based on the combination of the glucose enzymatic reaction and the quenching effect of h2o2 on the cdte quantum dots (qds) photoluminescence.in this study glucose was determined by utilizing glucose...
Ultrastructure of the Antennal Sensillae of Male and Female Peach Fruit Fly, Bactrocera zonata
Antennal morphology and funicular sensillae of male and female peach fruit flies, Bactrocera zonata (Saunders) (Diptera: Tephritidae), were studied with scanning electron microscopy (SEM). This study focused on the sensillae found on the antennal segments (scape, pedicel, and flagellum or funiculus that bears the arista) of B. zonata. Antennal segments of females tended to be larger than those ...
